Creissan is a very friendly French village with about 1,100 inhabitants 15 km west of Beziers, 25 km from the expansive Mediterranean beaches and a half-hour's drive to Narbonne.
The village centre offers a bakery, a grocery store, a restaurant and the local winery, which is open every Wednesday and Saturday.
The town also hosts a small market every Tuesday morning. For a bigger market, you only need to travel 1 km to Puisserguier on Friday mornings and St Chinian, 7 km from Creissan, on Sunday mornings.
Also available: Post office, tobacconist and café.
There are many larger shops in the surrounding villages within a radius of approximately 10 km from Creissan.
Creissan has a beautiful surrounding countryside, where you can walk and cycle freely or along plotted routes.
Every summer, local associations organise supervised communal meals with music and dancing for all.
The village has a very good riding school, where you can go horse-riding at an hourly rate. Would you like to know more about the area? Visit www.creissan.com.
